Envision Academy Teacher
The primary function of the Classroom Teacher is to develop the student's skills, knowledge, concepts, generalizations, principles, appreciations, and attitudes that will promote the fullest possible development and assist her in valuing the dignity and worth of herself and others. He/she provides, within the classroom, educational program for the students and may assist in other programs within Safe Harbor Ohio.
Bachelor's degree in education or related field from an accredited institution.
Must maintain proper certification in teaching area/active Ohio teaching license.
Intervention Specialist credentials required.
Classroom teaching experience strongly preferred.
Experience working with children from hard places strongly preferred, especially in classroom setting.
Safe Harbor Ohio and the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio have partnered together to provide restorative care for child survivors of sex trafficking. This means that Safe Harbor Ohio will be operating under the licensing umbrella of the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio. Our partnership will remain in place until we are ready to operate independently.
While we have partnered with licensing, we are separate entities; meaning our financial structures are separate.
CCHO is providing exceptional guidance and support. They will be vital in the hiring process and training of Safe Harbor Ohio staff.
